7th Grade - Warriors Don't Cry

Warriors Don't Cry Research Project
Exploring Modern Day School Segregation

Through reading Warriors Don't Cry, you've been learning about the efforts and sacrifices that civil rights advocates made to end school segregation in the United States following the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision. Our country has benefitted greatly from the efforts of the civil rights leaders of that era. Millions of children have gotten access to more equitable education as a result of their efforts.

However, in the past few decades there has been a resurgence of racial segregation in our country's school systems. In this project, you will conduct research to learn about the causes of increased segregation and the potential solutions.
